1. Hold any day until it lifts.
2. Still holding, drag up to take in as many days as you want.
3. Let go. The ZooKeepers rise from the bottom as colour pills.
4. Tap one. Those days are theirs.

The hold is what starts it. A tap on a day opens that day instead, and a drag without the hold scrolls the calendar.

Hold and drag the same way, then tap Clear instead of a person. The days go grey, which means nobody has them yet.

Grey is a real state, not a blank. It is how the calendar says a stretch still needs deciding.

Drag down on a day to open a handover inside it — daycare, a grandparent, an afternoon with a sitter. The day splits, and each part can go to someone different.

A day can hold more than one. Every split is a handover with a time of its own.

Shake the phone. The last change goes back.

Keep shaking to keep unwinding.

Today sits on the bottom edge and the schedule climbs into the future. Scroll up to go further ahead.

Each colour is a ZooKeeper. Tap a stretch and their name appears in white across the pill, then fades — the seam tells you when, the colour tells you who.

A small mark at a seam means there is a note on that handover. It pulses until you have read it.

Two rounded pill ends facing each other mean you have agreed who, but not when. Tap where they meet and pick a time.

Once it has a time the two ends join, and the schedule runs through it in one line.

• Flexible means agreed, without a clock — you both know it happens that day.
• Morning, Midday and Evening are the day’s own parts, ready on the top row — for the handovers everyone already understands without a clock.
• Exact is a time on the wheel, for the handovers that need one.

All three count as agreed. Only an untimed handover leaves the schedule open.

The pattern on your ZooAnimal flows upward from today, and stops where your schedule stops being settled — at the first handover with no time on it, the first stretch nobody has, the first night nobody hands over.

So the moving part is the part that is genuinely sorted. Agree one more time and it climbs further.

4. Give them a name, pick their colour, and save.

They are yours to manage from that moment — no account, no app, nothing for them to do. CoZoo will offer to invite them straight away; Skip for now is a real answer, and you can invite them any time later.

A shortcut: hold a day until the pills rise, then tap the + at the end of the row.

A grandparent who keeps both children should exist once, not twice.

When you make a second ZooAnimal, the flow offers the people you already have — import them there rather than typing the same name again.

One person, one colour, on every board they appear on. They also count once against your eight.

Eight colours. One colour to one person on a board, so no two pills ever look alike.

Yours follows you. The colour you chose is the colour you wear on every schedule you join or make, and nobody can take it. Change it once and it changes everywhere you appear.

If someone else’s colour would clash with yours, theirs steps aside — in your view, and only in yours. Tap the sync dot under their pill and CoZoo will name who already holds that colour, and on which board.

On a board someone shared with you, you can recolour the other ZooKeepers for yourself. They never see it.

Two different things, both in the same place:

Remove Access takes them off the share and shuts the invite link. They stay on the board as a ZooKeeper you manage, and every day they ever held stays where it is. Use this when someone should stop editing, not stop existing.

Delete ZooKeeper removes the person and their days from the schedule.

Removing access does not tell them. Their copy simply stops updating.

1. Tap the gear.
2. Tap the ZooAnimal.
3. Tap the ZooKeeper you want to invite.
4. Choose what they will be able to do — Full Control, Full View or Me Mode.
5. Tap Invite ZooKeeper and send the link however you like.

They do not need CoZoo installed first. The link takes them to the App Store, and finds your board once they open the app.

You will know they arrived: their row changes to Resend Invite, and their access controls come alive.

A shortcut, once you know it: hold a day until the ZooKeeper pills rise, then press and hold one of those pills. That opens the ZooAnimal’s settings directly and skips the first two steps.

Send the link only to the person it is for — anyone holding it can take it. It shuts itself the moment they join.

If the ZooKeeper’s row will not open at step 3, your free trial has ended. Editing needs a subscription; reading does not.

Each ZooAnimal has one link. If two invites are out at once, whoever taps first takes the place meant for the other — the wrong pill, and whatever access came with it.

So CoZoo holds you to one. Wait for the first person to join, then invite the next. It usually takes seconds.

Same link, same person — for a lost message or a new phone.

Resending does not change what they will be able to do.

Open the ZooKeeper and tap Remove Access. The link stops admitting anyone, including whoever you sent it to.

They stay a ZooKeeper you manage. You can invite them again whenever you like.

Tap their link. CoZoo opens on a page naming the ZooAnimal, who shared it, and exactly what you will be able to do — accept or reject from there.

First time in CoZoo? You will be asked to keep or change the name and colour they set up for you. That colour is yours from then on, everywhere.

Joining costs nothing. The owner’s subscription covers the boards they own.

You choose when you invite, and you can change it afterwards.

Pick another level. It reaches their phone on its own — they do not need to do anything, and they are not asked.

Their own stretches, and the times they hand over. Everyone else’s days are there but blank — they can see that a day is taken without seeing by whom.

It is the right level for someone who only needs their own turn: a sitter, a club, a driver.

One schedule — whoever is being cared for. A child, a pet, a grandparent.

The timeline is who has them, and the ZooKeepers are the people who take turns.

Three ZooAnimals, and eight ZooKeepers between them.

Three is not a limit chosen to sell you a fourth. The calendar draws your animals side by side, and a fourth column will not fit on a phone.

Someone who keeps two of your animals counts once.

2. Press and hold a ZooAnimal pill in the block at the top.
3. Drag it where you want it, and let go.

The calendar draws its columns in this order, left to right — and cozoo.app in your browser follows the same one.

Five patterns, and each dresses one animal, so no two of yours look alike.

On a board someone shared with you, the skin is the owner’s. You will see the pattern they chose — unless they gave you Full Control, in which case you can change it like any other setting. If their pattern is already worn by one of your own animals, CoZoo quietly gives theirs an unused one in your view, so no two boards look alike on your screen.

Everything goes, for everyone: the schedule, the ZooKeepers, the invite link. It cannot be undone.

Deleting your last ZooAnimal takes you back to the beginning, where you started.

Four reasons, and they look identical on screen.

• Me Mode is on. The pill by the settings gear is filled with your colour and shows an ✕. Tap it.
• Your free trial has ended. A banner at the top says so. Your schedule stays readable; editing needs a subscription.
• You have Full View or Me Mode on a board someone shared with you. Only its owner can change that.
• The owner’s subscription has lapsed, on a board you joined. Nobody can edit it until they renew.

Both phones need a moment on a connection. Open CoZoo on each and give it a few seconds — changes travel on their own.

If one of you cannot edit, that is a different answer: see I can’t edit anything.

It is still arriving. A schedule can take a moment to come down.

If it stays empty, ask whoever shared it whether they have given anybody any days yet — an empty board is a real thing to be looking at.

The link did not say, so CoZoo asks rather than guesses.

Pick your own pill. That is you from then on, and the colours and access follow.

On a board someone shared with you, they hold your name — it is their schedule, and they wrote it. Ask them to change it.

Your colour is yours, always, and follows you everywhere.

Either its owner removed your access, or they deleted the ZooAnimal.

Only they can let you back in. Ask them to send a fresh invite.

It leaves your app. You stay a ZooKeeper on the owner’s board — they keep every day you held — and they can invite you back later.

If it was the only board you had, CoZoo starts you fresh from the beginning.

In your own iCloud. It arrives on your other devices by itself, and it is there at cozoo.app in a browser on your Mac.

The people you invite hold their own copy of the board you shared, and nothing else of yours.

Not your schedule. It lives in your iCloud, and there is no CoZoo server holding a copy — so there is nothing for us to read, sell, or lose.

No advertising, no analytics, no profile of you or your family. We do not see your names, your schedule, or who you share care with. Subscription status is the only thing needed outside iCloud, to keep your subscription active.
